2019 OMA Award Top Winners

Each year, Shop! recognizes and honors retail displays that raise the bar and set merchandising and design precedents through its Outstanding Merchandising Achievement (OMA) Awards competition. Here are the winners, announced at GlobalShop on June 26 in Chicago.

Display of the Year

The Display of the Year award is the most prestigious award of the OMAs. It is presented within three divisions: temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent, based upon length of expected service time inside the store. Only gold OMA winners may qualify for DOY consideration.

Creative Award

The Creative Award honors creativity in merchandising design and execution separately from sales results and acknowledges excellence based solely on ideation, imagination, and forward thinking. This award is presented across three divisions based upon length of time in the store: temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent.

Budget Award

The Budget Award recognizes entries that had the greatest impact under strict budget constraints. To be eligible for the Best Use of Budget Award, entries had to achieve gold, silver or bronze in their division. In the temporary division the entry must cost under $25; for semi-permanent under $50; and for permanent under $100.
